Position Overview:
The Product Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, generating leads, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets. This role involves understanding customer needs, presenting product solutions, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals. Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Product Knowledge: Gain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services. Use this knowledge to effectively communicate product benefits and differentiate from competitors.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to clients and prospects. Highlight key features, benefits, and value propositions to drive sales.
- Market Research: Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Provide feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams to inform product development and positioning.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Customer Support: Provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other stakeholders to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to achieving sales objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a product-focused role.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
